Am I a good candidate?
Good candidates for the CoolSculpting® fat reduction procedure are those that feel they have unwanted fat in certain areas that they just can’t get rid of through regular diet and exercise. Patients should be in overall good health and not suffer from cryoglobulinemia or paroxysmal cold hemoglobinuria. Since this is not a treatment for obesity, patients should be within 10-20 pounds of their ideal body weight. CoolSculpting® will not tighten loose skin, so patients with loose or hanging skin are not good candidates.
What is the recovery like?
Because CoolSculpting® is a non-surgical procedure, patients are able to return to normal activities immediately after treatment. There may be some mild soreness of the treated area similar to the feeling after working out. The treated areas may be tender to touch for about 2 weeks, but pain medication is generally not required.
Dr. de Ramón has a specially trained medical staff to offer personal care throughout the recovery process. Post-op patients are also given his personal cell phone number to contact him in case of problems or questions.
How much does the CoolSculpting® procedure cost?
CoolSculpting® varies in price depending on your areas of concern, the number of sessions needed, and your ultimate goals. At de Ramón Plastic Surgery Institute, we will create a customized treatment plan that’s specifically tailored to your body in order to achieve the goals you have in mind all within a budget that’s affordable to you. Treatment of one area such as upper abdomen is $700. Additional areas are discounted.
